Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog)

Keroro Gunso (Sgt. Frog), is a manga series by Mine Yoshizaki. It was later serialized into a TV anime series directed by Junichi Sato. The Keroro Gunsou manga began its monthly comedy in the weekly Shounen magazine, Shounen Ace. The series was at first aimed at the older audience (teens/adults) from the first to the seventh Tankobon.

After the anime aired on Japanese TV, the manga was toned down quite a lot, as the TV-series had "all age groups" as the demographic. Nonetheless, the manga still administers suggestive comic drama that just the more develop gatherings grasp. The Tokyopop US release of the Keroro manga have censored any nudity, in order to get away from the OT (Older teen) rating and maintaining its Teen rating.

Both the manga and the anime center on the ardently decaying conditions of the Keroro Platoon, a group of two-foot-tall frog-like invaders from the planet Keron of the gamma storm cloud system, who continuously try to conquer the world, but fail miserably each time. The platoon's leader, Sergeant Keroro, is effortlessly diverted, and could rather spend his time making plastic Gundam models and surfing the Internet than destroying Earth, much to the chagrin of the bellicose corporal, Giroro.


Aside from Keroro's laziness, the largest obstacle in the way of their mission is the Hinata Family, a trio of humans in whose care Keroro finds himself after the Keron army deserts him on earth. Keroro is kept bustling with manual labour and reliable ill-use, primarily from the family daughter Natsumi. Aside from Keroro, there are four other members in the Keroro platoon. Each one of these find themselves in the care of a human, who are all tied to the Hinatas in some way throughout the events in the Anime and Manga.
